Staffing

Nanny

One of the most highly regarded jobs by parents is that of nannies who care for their most precious prizes in life, their children. Nannies create a thriving environment for children to grow and learn in. Nannies are in charge of all things child-related in the home but are always willing to help around the home without sacrificing the needs of the children.

Governess

A governess is a formally trained education professional, having credentials to teach school-aged children. This is typically a live-in position in a home with separate living quarters provided. While having some of the same responsibilities as a nanny she is focused on the education of her pupils. Providing fun and nurturing environment to learn all subjects and going on an occasional “field trip!”

Babysitter

The occasional babysitter is a great help for parents who want to have a date-night, run errands, or have some time alone. Children always love to have babysitters come over to play and do crafts while parents are away. Babysitters at The Windsor Agency are carefully screened and under many of the same guidelines as our nannies.

Baby Nurse/Newborn Care Specialist

A professionally trained nurse (pediatric or NICU) or highly qualified caregiver to newborns typically during the first six months of life. Baby Nurses are trained in specialized areas such as sleep training, feeding routines, and multiples. A baby nurse’s goal is to support the entire family and to make sure babies and parents alike are getting their rest. They will typically live-in with a family during the time they care for the newborn(s). At the end of their stay they will have families comfortable and in a routine of everyday life with their new baby.

House Manager

House managers are a vital piece of managing busy and staffed homes. A house manager can handle everything including, but not limited to scheduling, event coordination, paying bills, managing calendars, handling vendors, supervising projects, and many other administrative tasks. This position is also a role that many families have their nanny transition to once all their children are older and still need someone in the home to manage day-to-day tasks.

Elder Care/Companion/Nurse

Elder Care is important in keeping the family together as they grow older. Typically companions are Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or a Registered Nurse (RN). Companions or Nurses complete various tasks in the home, cook simple meals, keep the home tidy, check vital signs, and provide after surgery care. Families find it very important to keep their aging family members at home as long as possible before resorting to facilities to care for them. Having an in-home companion or nurse is a great resource and peace of mind to the family, knowing their elderly family member(s) are being well cared for at home.

Housekeeper

A housekeeper has experience in performing all household duties in order to keep the home meticulously in order. Many housekeepers are very detail-oriented and do everything necessary to maintain the impeccable appearance of fine furnishings. There are different levels of housekeeping but each home can have a catered household manual in order to detail their specific needs.
